Information we collect

Poop Maps may collect location information when you choose to use nearby search, restroom details you submit, reviews, business inquiries and basic usage events such as direction requests. Browser location is used to calculate nearby results and is not included in public reviews.

Optional accounts

You do not need an account to search for restrooms or get directions. If you sign in, we receive a stable account identifier, email address and available display name so we can keep your profile, Favorites, photos, reviews and contributions together.

How information is used

We use information to operate and improve the map, remember your account activity, prevent abuse, verify listings, respond to inquiries and provide aggregated activity reporting to participating businesses. We do not sell personal location history.

Public contributions

Restroom listings, reviews and restroom photos may be publicly visible. Favorites and profile contact information are private to your account. Do not submit private, identifying or confidential information in a review or photo.
